- The World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office for Nepal invites expression of interest from professionally and qualified vendors / manufacturer to supply ECE 22.06 standards Helmets (UN standard), to adopt safety practices among staff and families for road safety.The helmet and visor must carry the ECE 22.06 Standard (UN standard). Below are the minimum standards requirement for Helmets:• Quality helmets when worn correctly decreases the risk and severity if injuries by about 72% and decreases the likelihood of death by up to 39%, depending on the speed and motorcycle involved.• Lid (Solvents - temperature - moisture - ultraviolet)• Visor (Scratch resistance, refraction, light transmission, field of vision)• Chain strap (Strength - retention)• Helmet (impact - rigidity - friction ‐ventilation)
