Description:
Forest Research and Training Centre (FRTC), a Government body under the Ministry of Forests and Environment, is mandated to different forestry research and survey activities at the national level. In addition, FRTC has an additional mandate to organise training and extension services to forestry professionals and concerned stakeholders.Major activities to be performed by the FRTC in this fiscal year include: i) national level forest inventory ii) develop national land cover monitoring system and prepare forest cover maps, iii) develop allometric equations of major tree species, iv) and other research activities like study of invasive species, study of climbers and lianas, etc.To perform above mentioned tasks, FRTC needs vehicles on rent to conduct and monitor the field data collection activities in the field from all over the country.
